Arlington, Texas (April 28, 2024) – North Texas SC (2-0-4, 13 points) and Houston Dynamo 2 (0-4-1, 1 point) played to a 2-2 draw in regulation on Sunday night at Choctaw Stadium. Michael Collodi saved Houston’s final penalty kick to help NTSC secure the extra point in the first edition of the 2024 Texas Derby.

A SUCCESSFUL MONTH OF APRIL
North Texas SC ends the month of April with a 2-0-2 record. In four matches played, North Texas netted seven goals and conceded four goals. The club holds a 9-5-3 all-time record when playing in April since 2019.

Diego García appeared on the scoresheet for the second time in 2024, doubling NTSC’s lead eight minutes into the second half. The midfielder returned to the starting lineup following an injury*.\* During the 2023 season García registered three goals and three assists in his first year as a pro.

SALI STRIKES FIRST
Midfielder Enes Sali scored the opening goal for North Texas in the ninth minute of the match. Superdraft pick Isaiah Parker crossed the ball to Sali who headed the ball to score his second goal for North Texas SC.
